This was the first of three pictures I submitted in a collaborative art display from my creatives group for a local Starbucks in Oregon. All told we have paintings, illustrations, digital photography, and poetry.
The idea of multi colored bamboo is pretty appealing. Colors are mainly base colors with brown added to the mix (a 3/1 ratio of 3 base to 1 brown) resulting in rich smokey hues. For the spray effects just load your brush and flick the brush with your thumb onto the canvas. Make sure to rotate your angle so that the paint spray will strike the canvas in different patterns.
