Designer Notes:
More work on the outer torso modules. I was exploring two different design concepts for the inner ADs (Actuator Drives) that connect the outer torso modules to the centerline torso module. On the left the ADs are attached to the outside of the centerline module. The sketch on the right shows the ADs integrated into the centerline module. The right hand design concept would be problematic because it would reduce the space and armor protection of the crew compartment and propulsion powerpack (P3) that are arranged in a vertical tandem configuration with the crew compartment above the P3.
Below the torso sketches I was messing around with some different AD concepts.
I realize that I need to put more detail into my sketches still, sorry bout that =^^=
